Phyllis Bennett

Phyllis's ministry focus and great love is women: through retreat speaking, seminary teaching, and co-leading a women’s Bible study at her church. She is director of the Women’s Center for Ministry and the Women’s Pastoral Leadership program at Western Seminary.

Bethany Feil

Bethany received her B.A. in Dance from California State University, Long Beach, and is now the Artistic Director of Instruments Ballet Academy in Oregon City. Her national and international dance experience has given her a passion for sharing the hope of the gospel through the arts. Bethany's currently studying at Western Seminary.

Worship Team:

Lisa Reiff - Worship Leader

Lisa has a deep passion for leading in praise and worship, out of a grateful heart and an overflow of God’s presence in her life. She attends River West Church.

Natalie Correll - Vocals

Natalie and her husband live in Portland, OR. They are part of the Bridgetown Church family, where she is on staff as the Director of Women. She has dedicated her life to creating worship-filled spaces for people to love Jesus and be continually transformed by his love and truth.

Joi Hailey - Vocals & Acoustic Guitar

Joi lives in Tualatin with her husband and two children. She’s on staff at Rolling Hills Community Church where she leads worship. When she’s not leading worship at her home church, she loves to lead worship at conferences and churches around the city, sharing the love of Jesus through music.

Sarah Hellems - Electric Guitar

Sarah is a musician and graphic designer living in West Linn. She loves being creative and hanging out with her daughter, husband and two dogs.

Maryann Fletcher - Bass

Maryann loves The Lord and has been playing bass since 2008. She loves playing from her heart and allowing The Holy Spirit to take over. She also enjoys meeting new communities of people through playing worship for many churches in the PDX area. She has been married 21 years and has a son and a daughter.

Stephanie Zaganiacz - Drums

Stephanie is a baker by day and a passionate musician and worship leader by night or weekend, who also enjoys meeting new people and trying new things. Steph and her husband are expecting their first baby in April. She also loves donuts, vanilla lattes, and long naps.

Lexi Edmiston - Keys

Lexi is a high school senior from PDX. She has been playing the piano and singing since she was 7 years old, and is currently leading worship at Athey Creek Christian Fellowship, and also performs at many local coffee shops. She is going to Grand Canyon University in 2019 to major in Marketing with a minor in worship arts.

Soloist:
Rice, Georgene

Georgene Rice

Georgene Rice has been a talk show host with KPDQ radio for more than 25 years and has traveled internationally as a station correspondent. In 2004, Georgene served as chief spokesperson and debater for the Defense of Marriage Coalition, which amended Oregon’s Constitution. She has lectured on University campuses and is a frequent speaker and worship leader at Christian conferences and retreats. Georgene has served on several Boards and regularly volunteers. As a musician, Georgene and her husband Dan have traveled the world teaching and performing Gospel music.

Dramatists and Joy of Dance Company:

Carlynn Chumack - Dramatist

Carlynn is from Vancouver, WA where she lives with her husband, two young boys, and two Italian Greyhounds. In addition to keeping busy with her family, she works part-time as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. She enjoys being involved with various activities and ministries at New Heights Church, including Quest bible study, and she also teaches yoga in her spare time.

The Joy of Dance School of the Arts desires to be fully devoted followers of Christ, becoming more like Jesus every day, as He transforms us from the inside out. Our mission, at the Joy of Dance School of the Arts, is to share the hope of Jesus Christ through the medium of dance. We do this by training, developing, and equipping dancers to carry out their God given purpose of being shining lights for God’s glory in all they do and say.
