Bethany Allen is the Pastor of Spiritual Formation & Leadership Development at Bridgetown Church in downtown Portland. She has a deep passion to see women defined by who they were created to be: image- bearers of God. Compelled by her affection for the scriptures and her desire to be an effective learner in order to be an effective teacher, Bethany works hard counseling women, developing curriculum, and planning alongside Bridgetown’s pastoral team. A southern belle by birth, Bethany moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2007. She earned a Master of Arts in Specialized Ministry with a focus in Pastoral Care to Women from Western Seminary in 2011.


Dr. LaSondra Barnes is the founder and CEO of Royal One Enterprise, an empowerment company that helps women to discover their purpose, embrace their identity, and engage their faith tenaciously. As a certified life coach, she encourages women to discover and unlock their full potential. LaSondra has a passion for teaching the Word of God. For years, she has served in ministry in various capacities and is an international conference speaker. Dr. LaSondra holds a Doctorate in Ministry from Portland Seminary and an M.Div. from Western Seminary. She is also the author of her first book entitled Rejected to Accepted: Learning to Love Myself after Adversity.


Phyllis Bennett’s ministry focus and great love is women: through retreat speaking, seminary teaching, and co-leading a women’s Bible study at her church. She is director of the Women’s Center for Ministry and the Women’s Pastoral Leadership program at Western Seminary.


Trish Bussey Jeter is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and discipling others to help them discover who they are in Christ, and thrive in their relationship with God. Her desire is to see people grow spiritually, and live abundant joyful lives in Him! Trish is a graduate of Western Seminary with a Master’s in Ministry and Leadership, and has an MBA from Baruch College in NYC. Trish serves as Community Pastor for the 11 am gathering at Vancouver Church. She enjoys teaching as a member of the Women’s Transformational Leadership team at Western Seminary. Trish has been happily married to Pete for six years, and they love to travel, admiring the beauty of God’s creation.


Marie Dezellem delights in studying and teaching the Bible and training others do the same. She holds a Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Western Seminary where she serves as an adjunct instructor for Women in Pain II. Marie teaches women’s Bible studies at Yamhill Christian Church and works as an ER nurse. In the past, she has been a program director at a Christian camp and a youth pastor. She enjoys speaking, reading, hiking, gardening, giggling with her daughter Junia, traveling with her husband James, and living small town life in Carlton, Oregon.


Mary Ann Noack is passionate about the Word of God as applied to an individual’s life by the power of the Holy Spirit and studied in community with others. Mary Ann graduated from Western Seminary with her Master’s in Biblical and Theological Studies. She is the Pastor to Women at River West Church where she enjoys shepherding women, teaching a weekly Bible study, training leaders, and leading on the pastoral team. Mary Ann regularly teaches a Women in Leadership class at Western Seminary. She has been married to Bob since 1984; they have two grown sons and three beloved golden retrievers.


Whitney Woollard is a writer, speaker, and Bible teacher in Portland, Oregon, where she and her husband Neal are members of Hinson Baptist Church. She holds her M.A. in biblical and theological studies from Western Seminary and loves sharing her passion for the Bible and theology with others. You can check out her work at
