The fall ministry year will soon be off to a running start! By November, women involved in all kinds of ministry – whether in a church, parachurch organization, or in the community – often feel a need for a fresh burst of energy.

That’s when REVIVE comes to town! REVIVE is a half-day women’s conference, held in both Vancouver and Portland, that aims to transform ministry leaders from feeling like a sun-scorched land to a well-watered garden! (Isaiah 58:11)

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14

REVIVE: A Call to Persevere!

At its core, calling comes from God. It carries with it a deep inner conviction of “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.” Yet a call from Jesus to persevere is not necessarily a calling that thrills our souls. Perseverance implies endurance, steadfastness, persistence . . .  often tolerating the less-than-ideal for a greater good. It requires stamina, discipline, self-restraint, long-suffering. But unless we have our eyes fixed on the finish-line of the enlargement of our souls, we’ll miss the joy Christ intends when he extends to us his personal invitation to persevere.

The author of Hebrews says it this way:  “Let us strip off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Who for the joy set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame…Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

Ready, set, REVIVE! Come join us for a Spirit-empowered morning as we embrace God’s call to persevere!

Our virtual REVIVE conference promises to be a morning overflowing with:

  • Spirit-filled worship with Lisa Reiff.
  • Biblical insights from our keynote speaker, Pam Lau.
  • Encouraging small-group fellowship with women in Portland or Vancouver.
  • A selection of 7 inspiring and empowering ZOOM breakout sessions!

Event Details & Registration:

This year Revive: A Call to Persevere will be live streamed from Western Seminary’s Johnson Chapel. We will host a joint Portland/Vancouver event on Friday, November 13th with worship led by Lisa Reiff, Bible exposition from our keynote Pam Lau, followed by small groups to connect with local women. The morning will also include two breakout sessions with digital materials and opportunities to ask questions of speakers!  Soon after REVIVE, participants who attend will be sent the recorded links to the five unseen breakouts to be watched at their leisure.

In order to create this unique virtual experience, guests will be sent links to the worship and keynote sessions, as well as all the links to the breakout sessions and digital materials on the Thursday afternoon, Nov.12th, before REVIVE on Friday, Nov.13th.

Previously, we were asking that all ladies sign up for their breakouts upon registering. However, we realized this might have caused unnecessary stress during an already challenging season! So now when you register, you won’t need to choose your breakouts! On Thursday afternoon before REVIVE we’ll send you a link to the host page where you’ll find all the ZOOM links and ALL SEVEN breakout links so on our REVIVE morning you can choose which two you’d like to attend!

We hope this eases the burden of making a breakout choice now and allows you to register for REVIVE without feeling uncertain of where the Lord might be leading you for REVIVE on Nov. 13th!

GROUP REGISTRATION OPTION: In case you want to attend in a home or church setting with your socially-distanced small group, a group of five or ten friends can register together.

An alternative way a group may prefer to register is by each attendee registering and paying for herself, registering for the same two agreed-upon breakouts. HDMI cords can be used to connect a computer to a TV with a HDMI connection or similar cords, depending on your TV connection.

(If you’ve already registered and chosen your breakouts, you’ll still be sent all seven breakouts and will be able to choose those same breakouts – or two different ones – to experience the morning of REVIVE!)

And of course, if you’d prefer to register for the pre-recorded option, this exciting alternative of REVIVE will still be available as early as Saturday, November 14th. To register for the pre-recorded option, visit THIS PAGE!

Portland & Vancouver REVIVE:
  • Friday, November 13th  |  8:50 am – 12:30 pm
  • Live Virtual Conference via Zoom
  • Online Registration for the Portland & Vancouver REVIVE is OPEN! Breakouts must be selected at registration. Registration closes Wednesday, November 11th at midnight and WILL NOT REOPEN.

WHY COMBINE EVENTS? We are choosing to make the change to combine Portland/Vancouver REVIVES on the same day to re-position Vancouver REVIVE away from the complexity of election week. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for Vancouver women who were planning on attending Vancouver REVIVE on Friday, November 6th and for our lack of foresight in anticipating this complexity.

Pre-Recorded REVIVE Option:

Due to some churches requesting an option for workplace women and/or for moms stepping in to home-school their children due to COVID-19, we are also providing registration that could be used on any day following Friday, November 13th, including Saturday, November 14th.

Women choosing this option will be emailed pre-recorded links for all worship, keynote and breakout sessions no later than late Friday afternoon, November 13th. These links could be used at any time by an individual or by a church on any day of the week a church might want to create a socially-distanced event. Every person who attends a socially-distanced event must register with this option, not just the host church.

The drawbacks of this pre-recorded option, of course, are that REVIVE participants will not be able to interact with women attending the event nor be able to engage with speakers by asking questions. No tech support from Western will be available for this option. This option, however, could be a wonderful alternative providing women the joy of participating in this rich worship/teaching experience if they are unable to attend on Friday, November 13th.

We will hold registration for the pre-recorded option open until December 1st. If you register after the 13th, there may be a two or three day lag before you receive your links.

For those attending the live virtual event, please do not send your breakout links on to others. These links are for your personal use only, not to be shared with others who have not registered for this event.

However, for those who are interested, please refer them to our website so they can register for PRE-RECORDED REVIVE listed above available through December 1st.

Additional Event Details:

Cost: $13 General Online Registration.  $10 Student Registration. (E-mail for discount code)

Breakouts and Speakers: Check out the breakouts & speakers page for full details about the seven breakout sessions offered at this year’s virtual conference. This year you will be able to attend two of the seven breakout sessions back to back! When you register, you will be asked to choose your breakouts. On Thursday afternoon before REVIVE, we will send you your two breakout links!

Virtual Small Group Connection: During a portion of the conference, you will have the opportunity to meet, network, and collaborate with local women in groups of 3-4 in a Zoom breakout room. These Zoom breakouts will automatically put each woman in their small group.
